Kokoroko
Creating a fusion of Afrobeat and jazz, bringing together African roots with London inspiration, and composed of uniquely talented musicians, Kokoroko is another guest of the festival.
Led by trumpet artist Sheila Maurice-Grey and consisting of eight distinctive musicians, Kokoroko’s instrumental piece “Abusey Junction” was selected as Track of the Year at the 2019 Worldwide Awards. Kokoroko, who released their first EP in 2019, met listeners in February with their exciting single “Something's Going On.”
