The festival concluded on October 6 and 7 with two concerts of world-renowned pianist and composer Fazıl Say’s acclaimed new work “Dünya Anne”. Fazıl Say’s Dünya Anne, inspired by the works of our female poets, consists of song form arrangements of poems by Gülten Akın, Sezen Aksu, Şükûfe Nihal Başar, Fürüğ Ferruhzad, Birhan Keskin, Selenay Koçer, Didem Madak, Nilgün Marmara, Bejan Matur, Ayten Mutlu and Ece Temelkuran. Fazıl Say was accompanied by Serenad Bağcan with her powerful voice and two important jazz musicians, Volkan Hürsever on double bass and Ferit Odman on drums. Yekta Kopan presented the works for these narrated final concerts.
