Fazıl Say

The festival will conclude with two concerts of world-renowned pianist and composer Fazıl Say's acclaimed new work "Dünya Anne".

Fazıl Say's Mother of the World, inspired by the works of our female poets, consists of song arrangements of poems by Gülten Akın, Sezen Aksu, Şükûfe Nihal Başar, Fürüğ Ferruhzad, Birhan Keskin, Selenay Koçer, Didem Madak, Nilgün Marmara, Bejan Matur, Ayten Mutlu and Ece Temelkuran. Fazıl Say will be accompa-nied by Serenad Bağcan with her powerful voice and two important jazz musicians, Volkan Hürsever on double bass and Ferit Odman on drums. Yekta Kopan will present the works for these narrated final con-certs.
