Dhafer Youssef

Tunisian-born oud master, falsetto singer and composer Dhafer Youssef is considered one of the most respected cultural ambassadors, building a musical cultural bridge between East and West. His 9 solo albums, which also feature prominent jazz musicians, often incorporate elements from the Sufi tradition, Eastern literature and Turkish music. On his latest album, Street of Minarets, which he describes as his most mature work, Youssef hosted legendary musicians such as Herbie Hancock, Marcus Miller, Ambrose Akinmusuire, Dave Holland, Nguyen Le and Vinnie Colaiuta.

Youssef will be on the festival stage with his new repertoire of songs from his new album Street of Minarets. His performance, inspired by jazz, electro, rock, Turkish and Asian music, which is also very popular with Turkish audiences, will provide the audience with an unforgettable evening.
